Description of the history of you and your horse and history with the posse: I was born and raised in Dallas County and lived in the county until I moved to Rockwall in 1976.  I am one of the founding members of the Posse

10 Questions:

1.  Where did you grow up? Dallas County, Tx

2. Who taught you to ride a horse? I guess I taught myself to ride a horse.  I always liked horses ad cowboys and rode everytime I had a chance.

3. When did you get your first horse and what was he/she like?   My family could never afford a horse so I did not own one until I was married and had a place of my own to keep him.  He was a gray gelding, almost white, and I called him Spool because he jumped at everything he saw.

4. What do (did) you do for a living? I worked for Carrier Air Conditioning Distribution __ I went to work for he company when I was 18 years old as a stock room clerk and retired at age 58 as an Executive Vice- President.

5. How did you become a member of the posse?  Through my friend Roy Hance when he was in the process of initially organizing the posse.  He and I were visiting as a party and I told him we should organize a posse for Rockwall and he told me he has already received approval from the Sheriff and was working with the county commissioners to finalize the details.  I volunteered and have been a member ever since.

6. What is your favorite movie? Red River with john Wayne and Montgomery Cliff

7. What is your favorite book? Wild Cow Tales of Ben Green

8. What is your favorite posse activity? Maintenance of the posse facility and equipment and the trail ride.

9. What are your hobbies? Humorous cowboy poetry.

10. What is one thing about you most people don’t know?
